Ingredients we avoid

CAUSTICS

Caustics are common corrosives that damage and dehydrate living tissue. They are used in cleaning agents due to their ability to dissolve grease, proteins, or minerals. We use only natural cleaning agents that unclog pores without causing any corrosion.

CHLORINE

Chlorine is a reactive oxidizing chemical that’s used for its antibacterial properties–mostly in public sanitation. It’s also used in skincare to fight acne but leads to excessive dryness, which can cause additional breakouts. We replace chlorine in our products with essential oils that reduce sebum production and fight acne, without dryness.buy the best Natural beauty product online...

DEA

Diethanolamine (DEA) is a common wetting agent used in shampoos and skincare, which creates a rich lather and produces a soft consistency. On its own, it’s mostly harmless, but when combined with other ingredients it reacts to produce nitrosodiethanolamine (NDEA)–an extremely carcinogenic compound that is easily absorbed through the skin.

DYES

The toxins that chemical dyes leave on your skin increase the risk of a reaction and allow these chemicals to be absorbed into your body where they can cause even more damage. They can also block your pores, which leads to breakouts. Studies show that dyes made from coal tar are carcinogenic. We only use natural, plant-derived dyes in our products.buy the best Natural beauty product online...

FORMALDEHYDE

Formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane are known to cause cancer in animals and are listed as probable human carcinogens by the Environmental Protection Agency. Formaldehyde can also trigger skin rashes. Our products contain no formaldehyde.

HEAVY METALS

Heavy metals like lead, arsenic, mercury, aluminum, zinc, chromium, and iron are found in a wide variety of personal care products including lipstick, whitening toothpaste, eyeliner, and nail color. Exposure to metals has been linked to health concerns including reproductive, immune, and nervous system toxicity. We do not use heavy metals in our products.

MEA

MEA (monoethanolamine) is widely used to thicken the water phase of cosmetics, keep ingredients blended, and boost foaming. These chemical emulsifiers can react with other ingredients to cause irritation, breakouts, and dryness. We do not use any synthetic MEA in our products.

PARABENS

Parabens are a group of synthetic compounds commonly used as preservatives in a wide range of health, beauty, and personal care products. If the product you are using contains methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, and isobutylparaben, it has parabens. Of greatest concern is that parabens are known to disrupt hormone function, an effect that is linked to increased risk of breast cancer and reproductive toxicity. We do not use synthetic parabens in our products, which might lead to a shorter shelf-life.buy the best Natural beauty product online...

PHOSPHATES

Phosphates are used in personal care as a buffering agent, corrosion inhibitor, fragrance additive, and pH inhibitor. Even though they’re not as harmful as other chemicals, they can still irritate the skin and eyes. We only use natural plant-derived fragrances and emulsifiers in our products.

SLES

SLES is created through a process called ethoxylation, where ethylene oxide is added to change the makeup of the compound. It's not acutely toxic, but some people become sensitized to it over time, which means that some people develop an allergic reaction to it. Also, when mixed with other chemicals, SLES can form 1,4 dioxane which is a carcinogen. We do not use SLES in our products.

SLS

SLS is a cleaning, lather-creating chemical that is well known as an irritant when left on the skin for prolonged periods of time. By affecting the everyday function of proteins, this leads to damage to the outer layer of skin, which causes cracked, dry, and tender skin. We do not use SLS in our products and our lather might not match up to other chemical personal care brands.buy the best Natural beauty product online...

TEA

TEA or Triethanolamine is used as a fragrance, pH adjuster, and emulsifying agent in personal care and home products. Long-term usage of TEA can cause organ toxicity in the liver and kidneys and nervous system shock-like tremors and loss in memory function. We do not use TEA in our products. It is substituted with natural, plant-based emulsifiers and fragrances.

TRICLOSAN

Triclosan is a synthetic chemical with antimicrobial properties, which destroy or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi. Triclosan is a known endocrine disruptor and a suspected carcinogen. According to the FDA, triclosan alters hormone regulation. Other studies in bacteria have raised the possibility that triclosan contributes to making bacteria resistant to antibiotics. We do not use triclosan in our products.
